THOMAS LEE GROOMES

Thomas Lee Groomes, 56, beloved husband, father, brother, colleague, and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 3rd, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center,  in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Thomas was born May 3rd, 1962 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania and grew up in Donora, Pennsylvania. Most recently, he resided in the York, Pennsylvania area where he continued to follow his craft as a dental lab technician. He worked diligently in the dentistry field for over 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his mother Valrice Groomes Bell, father Thomas Tyree, daughter Jordan Groomes, and siblings Alfred Stallsworth, Bruce Groomes, John Groomes and Leona Groomes.

He is survived by his loving wife Andrea Groomes, children Thomas Groomes, Jr., Leah Groomes, Reginald (Latoya) Wilson, step children: Angelic Cook, Chivon Cook, Matthew Crawford and Stephanie Taylor. He adored his beloved grandchildren: Langston Groomes, Nevaeh Douglas, Lamont Lyons, Jr., Ariana Taylor, Kiya Crawford, Brett Wells, Brendan Wells and Aliyah Buckham.

He also leaves cherished memories with his siblings: Marcella (Wilfred) Dillard, Carlson (Linda) Stallsworth, Shawn Groomes, Sylvern Groomes, Mary Taylor, Catherine Finch, Karen Huey, Paula ( Ricky) Edwards, Eddy Bell and a host of in-laws, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Funerl services are being held Saturday, August 11th, 2018. Viewing will be from 10 am to 12 pm at St. Paul Baptist Church, Donora PA 15033, followed by funeral services.
