ELDER CLARK ORANCE WADE, SR.

January 16, 1948 ~ December 25, 2016 (age 68) 68 Years Old

Elder Clark O. Wade, Sr., 68, of Magnolia, Texas, transitioned from this life on Sunday, December 25, 2016, and is now in the presence of God. He lived a full life and is greatly loved by family and friends.
Clark graduated from Monessen High School in 1965 and went on to further his education in Business Administration at the Institute of Computer Management, Pittsburgh, PA, and completed the course of computer operator in 1966. He accepted a position as digital computer operator with Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Before accepting this position, he worked at Champion Spark Plugs Company in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from the Kentucky State University, Frankfort, KY, in 1975 where he was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Prior to attending Kentucky State University, Clark served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Forrestal as a Machinist. He was honorably discharged in 1969. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Obtaining employment for Clark was never a problem, as he was very intelligent. Upon graduation from Kentucky State University, Clark accepted a position at the prestigious accounting firm of Peat,
Marwick, Mitchell & Co., in Louisville, Kentucky. Later, another opportunity opened up for Clark, and he was appointed as the first Black Office Administrator for the City of Madisonville in Kentucky. Clark relocated to Texas and worked for a time at Memorial Hermann Hospital. Clark was a shrewd businessman and pursued several entrepreneurial ventures. As an Accountant, his entrepreneurial spirit allowed him to develop his own company called C. W. and Associates. One of his companies performed audits for area hospitals. This was a very prosperous endeavor. Also, he served as a manager for H & R Block.
Clark enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. His biggest hobby was being an avid sports fan. He especially loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed watching crime thrillers and sci-fi shows. He was absolutely hooked on infomercials and ordered practically everything offered As Seen on TV.
His greatest love and passion was his love of family, love of God and his love for the Word of God, the Bible. In July 1999, he was ordained an elder and preached his first message with his family in the congregation prayerfully supporting him. A preacher and student of the Word, Clark loved to read and study the Bible. He enjoyed teaching
the Men's class in Sunday School at New Life Church of God in Christ in Texas, where he served faithfully for many years as a Bible study teacher and Associate minister. However, his foundational religious instruction and training occurred early in his life as a member of the Whole Truth Church of God in Christ, Donora, PA, under the preaching, teaching and counsel of his father and Pastor, Elder Maurice B. Wade, Sr.
Clark was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dorothy Lee Taylor-Wade, maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his three children: son, Clark O. Wade, Jr.; daughter, Tiffany L. Wade; son, Mark A. Carter, Sr. and nine grandchildren: Mark Carter, Jr., Shamarian Carter, Makel Carter,
Israel Carter, Caleb Ingram, Jakari Carter, Josiah Carter, SaNiyah Gilbert-Carter and Ayalisse Carter; his father and step-mother, Bishop Maurice B. Wade, Sr.,(Mildred), brothers, Pastor Maurice B. Wade, Jr., (Cheryl); and Elder Charles W. Wade, II (Doris); paternal aunts, Joretta Lyons and Eleanor Johnson, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He had two special friends with whom he spent much time, Deacon Pinson and Deacon Williams.
Friends and family may visit the Whole Truth Church of God in Christ, 1004 McKean Avenue, Donora, PA, on Sunday, January 8 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. The homegoing celebration will be held on Monday, January 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Maurice B. Wade, Jr., delivering the Eulogy.
